How to play
Three steps. 30 seconds for a quick game, 90 seconds for the daily.

See the cartoon
A character flashes on screen. Easy = 5 seconds. Normal = 3 seconds. Expert = 1 second. Use that time to read the hue, saturation, and brightness of the fill color.

Drag the sliders
Hue 0-360°. Saturation 0-100%. Brightness 0-100%. The live preview swatch shows what your guess looks like — match it to the character you saw.

Submit and score
We calculate Delta-E (CIE76) between your guess and the target. Lower delta = higher score. Tier system: 🟩 < 8, 🟨 8-20, 🟥 > 20.
Difficulty modes
Easy
5 second preview, ±20 hue tolerance, 1.0× score multiplier. Best for warming up.
Normal
3 second preview, ±10 hue tolerance, 1.5× score multiplier. The default.
Expert
1 second preview, ±5 hue tolerance, 2.5× score multiplier. For color professionals.
Daily Challenge
- Five characters. Everyone plays the same set.
- Resets at UTC 00:00 — local times vary.
- Your streak builds on consecutive days played.
- Miss one day = streak resets to zero.
- You can only play the daily once per day.
